Thanks for taking my offer of visiting Oz. It was a pleasure meeting you and Les.
Next year... you guys can certainly come by again and have a sauna and a couple of wobbly pops.

it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

Ozzy / Smitty;  Thanks for the information.  I did manage to get it in time at the resort but just couldnt reply due to wireless limitations so remote.

It was a great trip over at Kipiwa lodge.  Shout out to Barb and Wayne who were such great hosts and did everything they could to make our trip fun and comfortable, thank you !

I did manage to pick up a 5 lb lake trout trolling Michigan stingers in orange on my weight steel rod down 50' or so.  Mind you i pulled steel for approx 6 or 7 hours with only 1, but at least i finally got one out of Kipiwa.

Walleye were on fire, with tons of small ones and a few in the slot for eating.  I pretty much fished the lower lake around Kipiwa lodge and only fished Hunter for a few hours.  All in all a great trip, weather was rainy so i had to keep the top on most of the time.

On another note, can't believe the boat traffic out there !  It was a long weekend, but man there are less pleasure craft on the Bay of Quite where i am at than Kipiwa.  I don't remember it being that bad out there... jet ski's and at one point 7 large cruisers going by at the same time through the narrows there.

thanks again for your guys input ! we are thinking of heading back up there in the fall before it closes for one more kick.  I heard the fall is pretty good fishing... by the way, i don't even think i seen 1 mosquito up there the whole time, lot different than last time i was there in June.
