The boiler at Sunnyside

Hey gang.

Starting to get those end of season blahs.....forum posts are becoming more rare. Most of us are getting closer to the winter hibernation from our favorite spot. Last trip up, just before my wife and I left for the season, we walked to the boiler at sunnyside to get some pics.
The boiler is now quite hidden in the brush.





There are variuos parts still along the shoreline.




Also a large prop and shaft in the water by the shoreline.




It looks like there is whats left of an old metal waterline going up by my camp.

I did a quick search online and found a link with some interesting info on it. the boiler appears to come from Brantford Ontario.
Since some folks may be interested in the story of the boiler I will attach the link i found. Someday i will dig a little deeper on this.

Hey how cool. we got nothing like that at my end of the lake. The area around my place was a stable for horses during the late 1800's So we have some history. I even found a couple of rusted horse shoes digging out my foundation. Also about 5 ft of very thick chain on my shore.

My place used to be a lumberjack camp way back at the turn of the century I think.
You wouldn't believe what I've found in the bush. I'm doing my best to clean it up
and take to the scrap yard.
