All I can say is wow! This was the first trip for my wife and she is hooked.  Hats off to Brian and Rob, another great year of fishing, although weather was not the best, the fishing was fantastic. My wife and I managed to reel in almost 200 hundred walleye.  Jigging was the best option for us.  Trolling this year with the bottom bouncers just didn't pay off like years past.  I had my first experience going through turtle chute then the narrows, what a rush.  Thanks to mike "kipawa 4"and al .  Great thanks for the trip to the outpost camp, it was amazing.  Also, I had the pleasure of meeting m lambert from the board.   The only down side from the trip is route 400.  You would think that it some point that they could figure out what to do with that mess.   All and all we made some wonderful friends.  One thing that I learned this year,  net every fish!!!!  This year I pulled in a small one and decided not to use the net, well you guessed it, the fish shook the hook out and my little jig smacked me in the eye.  I was lucky that it was the lead hit me and not the hook.  Good luck to those that are heading up.  Ready to book for next year.  I did not have to many pictures, too busy fishing.  Thanks again Brian and Rob.   Perfect year!!!!!!

You can't go wrong with Alwaki...Brian and Rob are great hosts and the fishing around there is just spectacular. I'm looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks.

And yeah...that trip up through the chute and into Lac Audoin is something else. Love that area and have so many great memories in that outpost cabin and really Alwaki Lodge in general.

Great trip and great report.....thanks.

The only down side from the trip is route 400.

Where are you travelling from?  There may be a few options to get around Barrie.

We are traveling from north western pa.   I don't mind the drive, if everybody would get there head on straight.  We saw a accident at the travel plaza just before you get off 400 on the way home. Could have been avoided.   T-bone, I'm sure after a couple of times it is not a big deal, but I would rather go through the chute than the narrows. Why I was looking, but man there is a lot of rocks there. We got home and played the video that my wife took, half the time I was staring at the fish finder looking to see how deep the water was.

Ask Brian some time about my adventure going thru those narrows. I came in hot and the wind hit the rear and boom...no good. Almost a very bad situation. Gotta be careful out there...

If the 400 is a mess, there are some ways to go around the east side of Lake Simcoe and get back on Highway 11 north of Orillia at Washago.  I'm lucky enough to live on that side, so Huntville is only an 1 1.4 hr drive... ;D
