Merry Christmas!!!!

My present has arrived and I can now share the footage from our 2021 fall trip.  I gave my daughter over an hour of footage and she took creative liberties to create a short "movie" of our trip.  I love gifts like this!

The trip in general was very smooth.  Crossing the boarder went as advertised.  The weather was overall great.  Fishing had good days and better days.  One day my sister counted 90 some walleyes and about a dozen pike.  This was not the best day nor the worst day.  Seemed like every day we caught a 23-24 inch walleye but nothing ever bigger for the trip.  We caught 2 nice pike in the 36-38 inch range.  For me, this trip was memorable for its sounds...the screech of the eagles as they flew or perched nearby...the loon that would cry out for a long period of time, pausing, getting no reply, just to try again with the hope that this time the cry would be answered...the deafening silence broken by the woodpecker pounding on a dead tree then returning to silence once the tree was done reverberating. 

Let us all hope that the New Year allows us all to enjoy living life with the activities we most of all enjoy!!!

Man, did I ever enjoy that video!! Gets me ready to head back up to Watson Lake next July.  July 22, 2022 cant get here soon enough!!
