All, getting excited as we get closer to finally making it back up North. Starting to get worried though as we are scheduled for June 11th-18th.
Is that too early? I know it entirely depends on weather/ice out. We are normally a week later. It has been 4 years and just want to make sure we are hitting it at just the right time.
We like the shallow bite back in the bays.

You won’t be too early for bugs. Fishing should be awesome.

Bugs won’t be out in full force but they’ll be there. June 11th is fine. Before we bought a camp, we used to go Kipawa Lodge end of May and that’s a good time.

@limacharley just too early for truly good fishing. I may have the flexibility to push to the right a week or two and just want to make sure we are hitting the lake at the right time.
We have only been up there this early one time and the fishing was a little rough. Again it will be dependent on ice out and weather.
But after no going up for 4 years want to ensure we get the most out of it.

If I recall correctly, you stay at TwoMoons.
If, that's the case, I think you will be O.K.
That spot up along the shore in SmithBay will just be getting good, or you'll have to go to the outer boundaries or the north sanctuary as the sanctuaries don't open until around the 15th.
your best bet would be to go the week after when both bass and the sanctuaries will likely be open
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
