My future trips to 3 Seasons Camp will never be the same . Aug 19th my fishing buddy and captain of our Coca Cola crew from the hammer Dave Smurf Young collapsed in his house unexpectedly . On August 22nd the family and I were informed that Smurf had suffered heart failure on the 19th that resulted in massive  brain trauma . He was gone . He was 1 month short of 60 years old . For those who met him in camp he was an amazingly friendly person always offering up coke products or help . He had at times helped Reggie during the Ontario spring Sportsmans show in Toronto .

For all on this board I implore you to get your blood pressure checked. As it turns out Dave was told ,on the 17th of September while getting fixed up at emerge , that he had very high blood pressure and needed to contact his family doctor . He never made it .

RIP Smurf

Wow Mike. How sad and sudden. Condolences to you and his family.
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

Our deepest Condolences.
We were shocked in September when Reggie informed me of Smurfs Passing.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

So sorry. I lost my best friend and fishing partner, Capt. Guy, at 59 too. I still talk to his picture daily.

I too am sorry to hear of your best friend's passing.  The loss of a best friend leaves a hole nothing can fill and those memories never fade.   Take care.

You don't get these days back.  Live each day as if it were your last and one day you will be right.
