Hi everyone,
With the upgrades to our forum to SMF 2.1.4 we now have the ability to add pictures to our posts directly without the need to use a third party picture provider like TinyPic or Photobucket.

Please see the following steps to help you in adding pictures to your posts!

Step 1.
Create your new post, just like you would do to create any post:

Step 2.
When you're at the point in your post where you want to add a picture, click the button at the bottom of the new post that says "Click or drag files here to attach them.":

Step 3.
From your computer, find the picture you want to post and then select "Open":

Step 4.
Once the picture is uploaded, it will appear at the bottom of the post along with a small blue arrow, click the arrow to embed the picture into your post:

Step 5.
Set the Insert width and Insert height values (max 1024) then click the "Insert" button:

Step 6.
You will now see a new line added to your post, this line embeds the picture into the post, at this point you can simply hit "Save" and you're done!

There are some limits on adding pictures to your posts, they are as follows:

  • Maximum 6 pictures per post
  • The picture can not be larger then 5MB (it will be resized when uploaded to help us save disk space)
  • The embed maximum height and width values are 1024 (the picture aspect ratio will be maintained)

Enjoy!
