Walleye catch size results poll

Just reading another post - a trip report - and it was mentioned that the average walleye size seems to be unchanged by some, and larger on average by some.

I have found last season and this season especially that almost every walleye caught this year - about 20 days out - have been in the slot or over the slot.

Well over walleye caught and less than 10 below the slot size.

A very large average size, very few juvenile walleye.

I am concerned there has been a few very poor spawning years in the past 5-7 years.

Wondering how the last couple and this year's spawning success has been, now that climate change has the ice leaving the lake a month or more earlier than it used to.

Perhaps a poll from all , could help keep somewhat of an idea on the population's Average size, what year classes are showing up.

It's too bad the Ministry only pays attention to Lake Trout , with stocking.

Perhaps we could get them to do a few studies on the spawning success of the walleye and perhaps even start helping with stocking programs.
