Very ready for our trip this year, at least mentally. Prepared, that's another story as I haven't even begun packing yet. Guess that's what a one and a half year old will do to you. Leaving South Carolina Thursday morning about 4AM, unload wife and child in Ohio with mother in law. Pack up truck and boat leave with father in law and a couple others about 4AM Friday and head toward the Peace Bridge. Counting down and can't wait to pull in to Alwaki!

Good luck on your trip. Man thats a looooong trip. At least you break it up with the stop in OH.
Look forward to your report.

Have a good trip.
The driving break to drop off your wife & pick up other in-laws is always good; I know, I do it every year.

It blows me away just thinking about your drive from Texas Sarge. I'm impressed, but not overly surprised at all you Southern Yanks driving up every year. Knowing Kipawa I fully understand why. Good on you guys for your determination getting there. I know the place is magical. A couple of guys from work came to my camp a few weeks ago. They couldn't understand why we talk about this place like we do....Now I have two more converts who can't stop talking about the area and planning return trips. YA GOTTA LOVE IT :)
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

It is a haul from here to there.  I do a two day drive getting to the 'Burgh where I drop my wife off with her sister and gang up with our fishing crew (aka clan).  The return from the Burgh to Texas is a three day trip which has some extra time for the wife to stop along the way to sightsee.
But for me, the destination of the Kipawa area is well worth it.

Good luck and enjoy. Wish I was back in the area already, it's going to be a loooong year.
