Little behind on my trip report and right now no pictures to post.  Camera acted up a few days, only got a few pictures.  Anyway, our trip up was good, no issues which is surprising.  Rain on the way to the ramp, but held off during loading and the trip over before starting again.  Had a lot of cloudiness and rain while we were there, which was good for the fishing.  There were 8 of us this year, two cabins, two boats.  This was one of our better years for size and numbers.  Typically caught our fish in 18-23 fow jigging. I won't get into too many numbers as many may not believe them, but our last day was our boat's best, the 4 of us going over the century mark and releasing quite a few walleye in the 18-19in range and keeping a couple over 20-22.  We've caught numbers in the past, but usually 12-14in. Not that we didnt catch that size, but consistently better fish for us this year.  I think the weather had a lot to do with it. We did get checked by Sûreté du Québec, which was a first for me.  They were polite and professional, no issues.  Brian at Alwaki was a great host as usual, we always enjoy our stay.  They have a new deck on one of their cabins and planning another next year. Can't recommend them enough, plenty of fishing areas not far from camp. Trip home not bad either. Got to the border and hardly any cars, pull right in only have to wait on one car, wait, wait...wait. Second officer comes up. wait. wait. Orange cone behind the car. not sure what was going on, after 15 min or so, we finally get the truck and boat backed up and into the next slot, behind a bus.  Not our day, but wasn't awful.  All in all, we had a good time.  The fishing was good, hosts were good, food and many many drinks were good, setting perfect and company exceptional.

Always good to hear about a good trip.  I would believe the numbers, when every things lines up,weather, wind, temp and the fish want to eat it is good.  Many drinks helps pass the down time.  Thanks for posting the report.  ;D ;D ::)

Smile, every one will wonder what you have been up to.

Hey Morrow great report.   We are heading up to Miwapanee tomorrow but I was wondering if some of the better fishing grounds you were fished were north/west of the lodge at all up towards Corbeau Island?
