Any thoughts on setting up an Instagram account?

Depends on how much you like to "share" your life with others, I suppose. Or, how much you want to get a view into other peoples' lives.

Personally, not my thing. Of all the people I know both professionally and personally, there sees to be one overriding fact; you either use and embrace social media or you don't. It's rarely somewhere in the middle. My kids use Instagram and other similar social media channels...I suppose it works for them in their world.

I have a Facebook (I think it's still there), and a Twitter account, a LinkedIn account, but almost exclusively for business reasons.

The curmudgeon in me keeps it simple...I really don't want to know what you're doing, and I'm not inclined to share with you what I'm doing. I'd rather just do it...

A web based forum is at my limit... I can chose not to participate and log in and retreat to my "find me in real life" mantra

agree with @T-Bone , I really don't want to know nor do I care what you're doing every waking minute of your life, nor do I care your opinion of current events... nor what you have for dinner or what you're wearing today to work...
I'm not interested in giving strangers an invitation to cyber stalk me because they're bored in the bathroom and have their smartphone with them.
I'd rather just live life... and if I want you to know something, I'll either call you and tell you about it, email you, text you, or post a picture on this forum...

I was just thinking like a hunting site I belong to that just post hunting pictures not life shots
I totally agree with you regarding the useless pictures that some people post.

I thought that there is a way to make it private and we just share our fishing pictures with each other ,whether it be Kipawa or Ice Fishing etc.

No biggy, just a thought and I have the technology to delete this thread after today

haha... there is a forum I belong to... that has a "live" thread feature where members can text or email pictures from their smartphones that automatically gets posted to the thread... same concept for here I'm guessing except it'd be for when a member is out fishing instead of offroading. it's a cool thread on that forum and provides a onestop shop... that forum is easier to acces on a mobile device though since it is a partner of tapatalk app.
