64 and a Wakeup for us!  We aren't your normal visitors to Lake Kipawa though.  We go up to relax and do wood projects, building new stuff, etc.

The trip to Isle du Fox can't get here soon enough!

Fort Wisers

Man, that's a nice part of the lake.
There are two awesome camps on there that look like exactly what I have pictured in my mind when I think "a home to retire in".
Have fun

Well, down to 17 and a WAKEUP and a half! The half is because of not leaving until 10 or 11 pm on Sunday, Aug 30th (Naptime after an Open House).  We should arrive around midday on the 31st!  Will be somewhat of a short trip for us as we will leave early on the 6th.

Isle du Fox is calling my name.  Hope to make it up there for 2 weeks next year!  Going to start working on making that happen here soon.

Fort Wisers

Have fun!
Reminds me, I STILL haven't posted a trip report from our last trip.....

Have a great time, @DustyHill. Will be looking forward to the pics when you get back.  ;)

T Minus about 58 hours until we pull out of Indianapolis! Starting to twitch... I need to get to the lake and get to Isle du Fox!

RHYBAK

What part of the lake is this in?

This is the most time consuming ans slowest part of the trip...the final countdown.

Enjoy your time on the lake and good luck

Well, I'm not good with maps... but the Wife is... so, if you know where Rod Miller's camp is then keep going AWAY from Laniel and it's Fox Lodge (if looking at a map, north of Mackenzie and long before you get to Landrault).  He has a big rock on the point that says FOX LODGE.  He has a cabin (recently added onto; a boathouse with a 2nd floor; a sawmill on a platform by boathouse).  Also, right round a couple small islands from Airplane Ed, if you know who that is.

Funny story - a couple years ago we were the talk of Kipawa as we were sitting there on Wednesday evening and along comes a dog up on the island. We got to feeding it and giving it water.  The next day my Wife (and our friends kids that were with us) took a trip to Kipawa to see if anybody had lost a dog (mind you, we had never been to Kipawa by ourselves - aaaaccckkk!) On our way there some guy is coming towards us and we asked for directions and he stopped and said "THAT'S JOLLY'S DOG!!!". The dog had been missing for a week.  Got him to his owner once we got to town!  Was so happy to find the owner!
