So I know there are a few of us on the board from the region.....has everyone completed digging themselves out yet?
It was a decent fall, we measured 46cm snowfall on the backyard rink.
Ottawa proper reported 51.5 cm.....

I'll try to post some pics soon.
Take care:

We got inundated with snow (approx 50 cms) as well here in Orleans, a bedroom community just 11 kms East of downtown Ottawa. Street was plowed around 1:30 AM and Worry Free Snow Removal came by at 3 AM to clear the snow from my walkways, my driveway and the end of my driveway. So we're good to go!

February 6th and 7th was Ride the Trails for free in Quebec as part of the Quebec Snowmobile Association.
Two of my buddies and I rode our sleds from North Bay to Temiscamingue and onto Ville Marie and back. It's about
175 kms, one way. We left at 830 am and returned to my shop parking lot by 615 pm.

Had lunch in Ville Marie and stopped to admire the Topping chutes. This is where the Kipawa river that leaves Laniel
flows into Lake Temiscamingue....about 13 kms long. What a powerful force those chutes are. I want to kayak those suckers one day.

There is about 20 inches of snow in the bush; just enough to need snowshoes if you're doing any significant walking.

limacharley, wanting to kayak on the Kipawa River is not my cup of tea,but hiking the trails along the river from Laniel to Lake Temiscamingue would be something I would very much enjoy !!!
