Le Barons (again... more specifically Ottawa)

Anybody been in to a Le Barons lately?  How is the stock?  I saw a couple pictures on Facebook of the Mississauga location fishing section and they have about VERY limited fishing tackle stock, but still, at 50% off, maybe you could find a deal.

I was thinking about going to the Ottawa location on Saturday but not sure it is still open or not (their website says it is still open from 10 to 5 - I emailed the generic "info email" address from their web-site but no reply ...yet...).

Any feedback?

My mail notice says November 26 is the last day.
Fishing stuff is 40% off.

I hit Mississauga last Friday to clean up the scraps.
Picking was good but very limited.
I would go Friday if I were you.

I telephoned Le Barons Ottawa this afternoon. They said Sat was the last day - then the doors are closed for good.

Glad you got through Jay - I tried also and got endless ringing so wasn't sure if they already closed up!  They must be busy!

Rhybak  is right - going Friday would be better, unfortunately can't do it with my schedule.

I went to Le Barons (Ottawa) today - only about 5 small shelving units in the middle of what use to be much larger fishing sections - only lures and spoons left - no rods, no reels, etc.  The other half of the store was empty other than maybe a dozen pair of boots.

Everything was 60% off, and I got some pretty decent (normally priced) $8, $10 or $12 lures for more than half off - couldn't go wrong.... bought some odd stuff that I always wanted to try just because... 60% off.... why not?

I also visited the Cabelas in west Ottawa for the first time this morning... nice enough place - well stocked, very busy, but really kept purchases to a minimum... I generally find their stuff pretty pricey....  I have tooooo much tackle now.
