McSteve.... I loved watching Cronzy years ago also... and I agree with your assessment - he would always end his show with a little fire side chat and bit of preaching (not religious, but at the fishing industry, government, etc.)... not always politically correct and usually, and I am not trying to be offensive here, but it seems on occasion he was slurring and perhaps half-in-the-bag.  Definitely an entertaining part of the show.

Wouldn't it be great if somebody grabbed all the "end of show rants" and put them in one video and put it on YouTube? Man, that would be epic.  I just searched YouTube and there are about a dozen videos, I am going to watch them this weekend just because this thread reminded me of his rants.

Exactly, Cronzy's fireside chats were often a "shot across the bow" of many government offices.  I especially liked when he would have one of the local fisheries ministry guys and just slam him about policy changes.  I don't think he would tell them the real topic and they appeared like they would be completely caught off guard.  He posts a rant on the Long Point board in the spring when the ministry starts releasing their "state of the lake" reports about the great lakes.  Always a good read.
