Puck, don't sell yourself short; your place is going to be fantastic.
I saw it last year (I once worked in construction), it is looking good.

puckster, judging by the photo I'd say you're enjoying the whole process just fine. I've been slowly building a cottage in Ontario, doing all the work myself just the way I (my wife) want it. I've learned not to rush it...takes time on some decisions. If you don't mind the 'character look', consider a rough sawn knotty pine floor? Buddy of mine on the lake did a ground & polished concrete countertop in the kitchen...turned out awesome. The guy who did it a bit of an artisan, used some colored aggregate. There are 2 things about a cottage/camp that are most important; nice view and a good wood stove. Keep on enjoying the process.

Your camp is coming along very well Puckster! We bought ours in 2004 and are still renovating it...lol. Slowly coming along though, it's a little harder when you have to haul everything in and of course, time is also an issue. At least we get to fish on our leisure time though right? :)

I just bought about 2000sq. ft of t and g pine for the interior. The pi e flooring this pla e had was i  redi le. A place in Powasan valled Northern Stable Supply. They have the most amazing produ ts all milled and stained i  house. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. The last thi g going in will be their pi e floors. The placde is well worth a look.
