Picked up a pound at Pronature yesterday.   They just got a shipment in.

Not sure how long they will last.

Cheers

How was the size? I called for pricing and Pronature leeches are $49 per pound CAD and Kipawa bait was $60 per pound CAD. Bigger leeches at Kipawa bait?? I would assume being so close to each other they would buy from the same distributor.

Heading up next Saturday. I've only fished with leeches once or twice with little success.

Locally, here in the GTA, I've only contacted one source and found leeches to be $60/pound. Not sure of the sizes.
Only other time I fished Kipawa, I caught walleye with a worm suspended about 4 ft. under a balsa float in about 8 feet of water.
However, that was spring and water temps were much cooler than mid summer.

Can anyone tell me how much the worms cost in the area?
Locally, where I live, they are $3.50/dozen, however, I may be able to get a good deal if I buy in bulk directly from one of the suppliers.

Cheers !

Leeches were good size  Always get a few small ones but just a few maybe 8-10 in a pound.

$50 a pond  $25 for half

They likely do get them from the same supplier.

There also is a place on Trout Lake in North Bay

I was at the Stop 101 on my way in yesterday. They had lots of small tubs of leeches. I guess the area have lots.
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)
