Thieves... arrrrghhhh..... (just venting)

I am 4 days away from leaving for Kipawa, and I decide to go out at lunch today to pick up a few things on my list... as I am backing out of my driveway, I look across at my boat, jam the brakes and ask myself... where is my spare tire?   

Jump out of my car and run over to take a closer look - the tire and all the hardware, huge rubber washer, etc. is ALL gone.   

I washed and waxed the boat on Monday night - I am sure I would have noticed it missing earlier!!

So, I believe, overnight, someone decided they could make a few bucks on Kijiji by stealing my spare tire - it is a solid alloy rim and brand new tire - I am having the dealer I bought the boat at quote me a replacement price.

Greg, it’s 2018. It’s really your fault for leaving such a beautiful aluminum wheel out in the open for someone to take. The poor person who took it has a disease which isn’t their fault. You really need to be more sympathetic to these poor thieves just trying to make a living. I want you to seek forgiveness and buy a new wheel and not bolt it back on so they don’t have to work so hard next time, just lean it against the trailer. Besides, if they get hurt taking it off, they may sue you.

But some truth also... I usually lock it, took it off about a month or 6 weeks ago to clean the trailer and the back of the tire... forgot to put the lock back on... so am I mad at myself also? .... yep!!!
