Ya, most of the places I've found online aren't in the area we are interested in either. Probably just a pipe dream but will keep looking :)

Thank you everyone for the guidance!!

I'll be honest, I think I would feel a bit off approaching someone on there property asking if they are looking to sell..

I hate it when realtors do it to me, mostly because they don't seem to care if your in the middle of something. They just walk up uninvited and try talking to you. Most of the time I have to be uncomfortable rude to get them off my property, after telling them we are not looking to sell.

Of course, the wife and I would not be like that LOL!.. just feel like I would be intruding.

The search continues! :)

Greg all you need to do is ask folks if they know of any cottages for sale. That would be more productive than just asking them if their place is for sale. Also lodge owners like Wayne or Brian could be a good source of info about places for sale.

Cheers

As a point of interest, where is everyone's preference if you could pick a spot on the lake?

Dead bear bay or past the shut around alwaki whispering pines outpost .... But really I would take any remote location in a quiet bay (a little protected from the wind etc.)

Nettie

Northern end of Lake Kipawa. Somewhere around Hay Bay.
