@cmoreau , I was wondering how your study turned out. Did you get as many tags this year as last year?

cmoreau

In total I had about 78 tags returned out of around 260 walleye that were tagged, some were multiple recaptures - the same fish being recaught up to 5 times, often in the same or nearby location. Generally the recaptures were within 5km of their release locations, only a handful were recaptured at distances greater than that. Thank you to all who reported capturing a tagged walleye - if you have any that are still unreported or capture any in the future please do let me know. Thank you!  :)

Great post, thanks for your hard work.

I would just like to thank every one who reported capturing a tagged Walleye. My research project has been concluded and draw prizes were distributed last summer/fall. If any one happens to capture a tagged Walleye in the future I would still be interested in hearing about it. Details may be posted here or you may call the number provided in the original post (I will lose access to the christina159@ufl.edu email over the next few months so please do not email details there). The full report will be embargoed for 2 years while I attempt to publish, however, the abstract will be available to view online at some point over the next few months. I will provide a link once available.

Thank you,

Christina
