Had a great trip to Lake Dumoine opening week!  Trip up and back were smooth and other than the weather, had nothing to complain about.  My awesome daughter created an early father's day gift for me and I have shared the link with you.  It is more to brag of my daughter's  skills than an obligation to share.  To watch you will need to download the Vimeo app if you haven't already.  Hope you enjoy as much as I have enjoyed!

Great report. Great memory...live...

I'm hiring now for a digital marketing specialist / videographer. Is your daughter looking for a job?  ;D

Thanks for your trip report. It's always nice to hear about experiences on different lakes.

A cool, well made video. Great report.
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

Great Video!  Being a Dumoine guy I loved seeing some familiar places. Always a good time.  So how was the drive in? the last 20 + miles on the hills gets very washboarded. We head in June 30!!!

She has a 'gig' until April but is only interested in interviewing if massive international travel is part of the job description.   ;)

I dislike the section on the Bearn from red pine to just past the Kipawa River.  Washboard and hard!  I would say nothing has changed since the last time you drove in.  We stayed in Cabin 2.  Best camp cast iron skillet I have ever seen and used.  Should I thank you for that?

Teac. Thanks for the info on the road. It is rough until you hit the sand near the end. Cannot take any credit for the skillet in 2. Figured it was 2 and 6 the log cabin you were in.  We have stayed in 3 the last 10 or so years but are going back to 5 this year just for fun and variety. Stayed ther the first 10 plus years of going there. The new Red Pine road has to be a plus. It was not totally complete last year as we went through. Looked like you may have been at the north end of the narrows in the film  did you get up towards 5 and how was the luck?  Thanks !

Glad you had an enjoyable trip. Your daughter certainly has talent to piece together a nice keepsake.

Thanks Teach. Excellent video. Looks like you had a great time. Tell your daughter well done!

Teach, I think My favorite part of the forum is the trip report section.  You have raised the bar dramatically, or should I say your daughter has LOL. That video was very well done, she apparently knows what she’s doing. Nobody wants to watch a video that is unedited, she did a perfect  job editing and kept my attention the entire time. I will be at Alwaki the same time as T-bone, maybe he and I could chip together and have her document our adventure? Problem is, a lot of the footage would contain foul language and beer drinking LOL .

In all seriousness, I loved the video, it  made me want to be there right this second.

I have no idea what you're talking about Hodgey.  ::)

Hey Teach, I stumbled across one of your reports from 2014 (was looking for camp food ideas again) and I believe you were reporting from Ostaboningue or Saseginaga. What made you switch to Dumoine? How do you like Dumoine?

Since the Dumoine outfitter is an Outfitter with Exclusive Rights, does the Quebec walleye harvest limit (37 to 53 centimeters) apply? Thanks.

Jay

Jig and drift

Jay you are correct. Since it's an exclusive rights lake the size slot does not apply. We have personally complied with those sizes pretty much and have thrown a few back that have been larger since they are the good  breaders but you could keep, them if you wanted.
