I created this as a possible way/Beta test for people to add points of interest and of concern. If you are google map savvy at all, this should be easy "I hope".

Here is a collaborative map I created on Google Maps, please follow link and add any points of interest or concern to the map. I will post at the "Sticky" Landmarks and destinations thread also.

Sorry everyone, I had to change a map setting to allow anyone here to edit, please try again.

working   great job

Wow, some people have been busy. 63 views and probably 50ish additions! I think we've stumbled on a winner of a concept. If you haven't yet looked, please do. Thanks to whom ever is doing the adding and embracing the concept, it will be very helpful to me, not knowing the Lake as well as some of you.

Once proved out to work well, I will add to the sticky "Landmarks and destinations" started by @Greg.

Maps looking great....one spot I can't find that I saw in a video is Sawmill Bay...any idea

T-Bone

In 20-years going to Kipawa and being part of (3) generations of this Board I've never heard a location called 'Sawmill Bay'. Doesn't mean it is not real, but maybe just referred to as another name.

Great map Hodgey. I only know as far as Grindstone. Awesome fishing between Red Pine and there. It's good to see areas you guys talk about. One of these days I'll pack a couple of bottles of gas and a tent and check out some of these places.
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

RHYBAK

I'm sure all of us have our own name for certain fishing spots to keep them secret and that might be the case here.

Like lost Lake
Or Lake X

Or Lake Noneofyourbusiness
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

T-Bone

If I put the name of some of our spots out there it would get removed from the Board.  :o

RoK

Great map. Thanks! Perhaps the admins can pin this so its always present.
Cheers, Ron

This will be a great help for us, as we're heading to Kipawa for the first time next year. Now we'll at least have an idea of what folks are talking about.

Thanks!!

T-Bone

Well, it's pretty clear they're going through North River Dam to get there as they mention getting into Lac Audoin. I'm familiar with most of Lac Audoin, but not so much that SE area off the tip of Turtle Island. My guess is the bay NE of Grant's Pass, but I've never fished there and have never heard of it referred to it as Sawmill Bay. I guess Wayne could confirm...he's on the Board from time to time.
