Jon and I left Canandaigua,NY around 12:30 and headed toward Erie,PA. Once we got to PA I had some really bad stomach pain. We pulled into a gas station, I took a couple of gas pills and hoped that was all that was wrong. I never had pain like that before. By the time we reached our hotel I was feeling a little better, but still cautious. Hodgey1 actually invited us for an outdoor dinner at his house, but I thought it better to just relax at the hotel. Hodgey has been so helpful to me on this trip that I can't thank him enough. I really hope to meet him some day. We have some amazing people on this site!! The next morning we arrived at the dock at six AM and headed off on our first Lake Erie charter. We used Small Program Charters and could not have been happier with the results. Capt. Steve Small has an excellent 31 foot 12 foot beam boat that was very comfortable and easily handled the 3 foot waves. By 11:00 o'clock we had our limit and headed back in. The walleyes were large and healthy, and a lot of fun to catch. Our first mate, Jim, filleted the fish, bagged them. packed our cooler in ice and off we were back to home. This was a fun trip, but NOTHING like a week at TBL Outpost on Lac Kipawa. I really hope this Covid stuff goes away and we can get back to the Heaven that is Kipawa. I'm going to try and post a few pictures, but not sure if it will work. The 2nd picture is not from the trip. I messed up!

That's a nice board of eyes, I almost said stringer but I guess board is more accurate. Is there any good fishing on Canandaiqua? I have camped near there a few times to visit a relative near Rochester.

I've fished it for mainly perch. I had most success ice fishing. Keuka Lake, in my opinion is a better "fish" lake.

Great report Oarin - yes it is not Kipawa but glad you found a charter and got out on the water.

Cheers,
Greg

While it wasn't the remote cabin at TBL, I'm glad you and Jon got to wet lines together. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a perfect day for you and your son, glad you guys had success! Whenever you are in the area, holler. Once the world returns to somewhat normal, we must have a KFF gathering.
Walleye Rock!
