I am sick to my stomach with the happenings of this board lately. Greg is a great moderator and takes a much softer approach. Unfortunately, I am not so much that way. I hate to see the direction this board had taken. I started it as a service and have an enormous amounts of time invested in it along with some money. Trust me, I don't get anything in return.

Like others have said if the topic bothers you walk away. It really isn't that difficult. If this continues, I will start deleting accounts or maybe even take the board offline.

I am sorry it has come to this.

Very upsetting Nancy, I agree... and I take an approach that is soft then less soft, but on strike 3, I'm all in Rambo style.

The complaints from people about the never-ending speculation thread and thank-you's for locking it... far exceeded the complaints to unlock it - they are definitely the minority.   Fishing topics it is, accounts start getting deleted is all good with me.

Don't worry about the few, we can't please everyone.  And I know Ive said it before, thanks for everything you have done on this board over the years and I know you are going into "retirement" (haha) in the spring - the other guys on here who want to see the wealth of history and knowledge NOT disappear will need to figure out how to run and fund the board going forward.

Yes…I’ve been a passive member on this board, and the last one…but tuning in for years. Seems to be catering to a certain few as far as locking topics certain few don’t like. Tune in or not, that’s what I’ve said. I’m not afraid to chime in, Delete me if you want. Should be an open forum. I appreciate comments way this way….and way that way. I’ll tune in or not…I would not dare suggest to lock down a topic……
Can’t wait for the border to open so the good folks who count on our good neighbours $ can survive…and the good neighbours can come and just be……
In the meantime, while that thread is “locked down” for the certain few, I’ll just tune in to read the trip reports. Thanks for posting…..
