Had a great week at Alwaki!

Fishing was good but slow, we got a decent amount of fish but they were certainly not jumping in the boat. I think a drastic drop in water temp and thunder storms rolling through shut them down.

They seemed to be deeper than previous years. There were some spots producing fish in the normal (15-25) range but we could not hit them as our anchor would not hold our boat.
We spent the week trolling because our TM failed on the first day!

The largest we got this week was 23 inches.

Not many pics this year because I had hand on your motor all week LOL!

Glad you were able to get some fish, sucks about the trolling motor.  Next time we will have to get together.  Enjoy the thanksgiving trip

ABSOLUTELY!! We wanted to get together but urge to fish was to strong to stop HAHA! Were bad like that!

Ya.. Looks like I'll have to stick with MinnKota I really want to stick with a 72" shaft. They finally basically
agreed to replace this unit and now but there are none available anywhere!! Johnson Outdoors told me they
aren't even sure if they are going to get any next year WHAT THE heck!!

I'm thinking of pushing for a refund if they can't provide a replacement!

I'm in same shape, I took the new boat the way it is.  I'm waiting on control box, full roof enclosure, the front deck cushions for my daughter.  But I was lucky to find a new garmin 9" for the console and a place in laval seemed to be the only place with the ram mount I needed and it arrived yesterday.

Are you thinking of putting any Tracks on your gunnels? We did, it's the first time we've had these rod tube style holders and absolutely love'm!! No long handles hanging into the boat and super fast to pull rod when you get a fish.
I'm still nervous running the rods at a 90 degree to the gunnel but getting used to it and haven't lost a rod yet LOL!

The lund has a rail system built in, same as my old rebel so all my accessories for rod holder, tools kit, bouys, downriggers and drink holders all lock into it.  It also has an outer rail for the cover to clip under no more buttons.  I use the scotty orca holders, the rod snaps in and when get fish just pull straight up and it releases the rod.

Nice! Ya I liked the rail system on my Alaskan for sure! I'm hoping to get a cover built next year that snaps in under the outer rail as well. So much better than buttons!

Great report, Glad we were there and able to be part of it. Good times, good fishing and great memories made.
Walleye Rock!

Thanks for the Report Greg....we were leaving in pretty dicey conditions...and that's what you were going into. We couldn't hold or control either and it hurt our catch, but live and learn. Those fish were certainly there...we were marking them in stacks 31'-37'.
Embrace every moment...you only get it once
