so for about roughly 150K you could have a cabin on Lake McGlaughlin..... extrapolating the finances a bit...

that's probably around 1400/mo financed over 30 years when it's all said and done (taxes, fees, insurance, etc....)

divided by say 6-8 guys (assuming a 8 person cabin is built), that's 175-225/mo into an escrow account with darn near anytime access to the property and potential to rent out when not occupied by one of the owners...

hmm... maybe i can talk my junkateers into going splitsies.... I can do 250/mo for the opportunity to go up to paradise at will....

     I don't know if there is anyone out there that can verify this or not, but when I was up I heard rumors that the mining project seems to have stalled out because of so much opposition and EPA ( not sure if that is what it is called in Quebec?) restrictions. The same thing with the hydro-Quebec project with the dam and the kipawa river...

I sure hope so Brad, I've been praying for it not to happen and I think the Gods heard us. With every thing thats happening to me and no mine(likely) kinda restores my faith. Puckster Guy is correct.
Commonwealth owned the land for years, had no more use for it. They supplied the mill with pulp. Some squaters had occupied the deserted cabins but were told when the lots were ready to sell that they either buy that cabin or get off the land. I know the negotiator between the parties. He is retired from tembec and is part native.
Owners of lots #4 and #9 are my neighbors in North Bay.
The proposed mine is a long way from there btw.
