Can you get to Hunters point from Lake Kipawa by boat?

wayne

There are 2 ways to get to hunters point by boat, first and closest to Kipawa is through Turtle chutes, the other is North river. Both passes are tricky navigating because of rocks and water levels, hope this helps. :)

Been up there through Turtle Chute before; we've done this both when staying at the main camp for Alwaki Lodge and from the Alwaki Outpost on Lac Audoin. Agreed on being careful running through the chute, but be really careful going through the channel leading into Lac Audoin. I almost took out a skeg going through there too fast once...wind kicked out the back of the boat just as I was entering the narrow area. BAM! No good. Almost killed my buddy in the process. Slow and stay to the center.

So, is Turtle shute the one that runs from Kipawa up thru a bay then the river to the bridge?

I've tried looking  for Turtle shute on Google earth, it appears to be unmarked.
