What a great trip this was for scenery and wildlife.
We started our trip by leaving Toronto Tuesday the 16th at 8 A.M.
Flew to Detroit, then flew to Seattle to catch our flight to Fairbanks Alaska.

Fairbanks was the beginning of our tour with Princess Cruises.
First stop was a 5 hour riverboat cruise in Fairbanks

After that spectacular riverboat ride the bus just rolled out and drove us five hours down a very scenic highway into Denali national park and the Princess Denali Lodge.
We had the rest of the day to relax and get rested up for the next mornings tour of Denali national park

Up close with a moose and two calves

The highest mountain in the U.S.A.
Mt. McKinley roughly 20,230 feet elevation
We were looking at it from 75 miles away.
Luckily a very clear day

More Moose..A good mile away

That afternoon off to Mt. McKinley Princess Lodge.
Just a day to relax for the next days trip by train to Whittier Alaska where our cruise ship awaited our arrival

The first two full day on the ship were spent at sea but those days were spent visiting two glacier bays

Keep in mind that this glacier is about 300 feet high and 1.8 miles wide

Then the highlight of the trip
Whale watching

Then off to Mendenhall Glacier which is inland in Jueno Alaska

Next stop was Ketchikan Alaska
The town of Totem Poles and Eagles

After Ketchikan,we had another full day at sea which put us into Vancouver.
We planned on staying there for a few days to catch some sights such as Capalano suspension bridge park and Whistler mountain.

And so ends a beautiful vacation through Alaska and Vancouver returning just in time to go to Kipawa for four days.

Oarin
A bit of the fire route was around our train tracks.
The day before the train was delayed due to the fires.
I took pictures of the fire damage but the didn't turn out because of the moving train.
We also saw the firejumpers all through the bush.

You don't know how I can't wait for Friday morning to come.
