Hey gang,
Here's a really rough start to a bit of a build log of our Homestead (AKA home base for outdoor adventure):

This weekend past we also had the opportunity to visit family up on Kipawa for a nice get together.
Many thanks to my Aunt and Uncle for hosting, the turn out was great and the food was awesome (as always).

Greg

Totally awesome site!!!

Great to document your progress.

...very jealous!

Looks like a lot of fun work.  Is there any water near for fishing?

Smile, every one will wonder what you have been up to.

We're not on water but there are many small lakes and the Ottawa river a stones throw away.

Nice hunt camp also.

We're home for one night to check on the house etc after week one of our three week vacation at the home stead.
Despite some rainy weather we were fortunate enough to get a fair amount done.
- Added BBQ to gazebo
- Screened in most of gazebo
- Hauled all building materials from road to build site (three different deliveries courtesy of Wilson's Home Hardware in Mattawa)
- Got posts, floor, exterior and interior walls framed as well as a start to our ridge beam and rafters.
We return tomorrow to start the fun again, our bodies are thankful for the rest!
