Well, we've been back from our 3 weeks at camp.....
The first day felt like we should have taken a "how to re-integrate into society" course lol.
We got a lot done and also had a few down days to relax, hit the canoe, go explore a little etc etc.

The latest are in the "week of August 22nd and 29th" section (about 3/4 of the way down the page).

Take care:

once again, awesome... great progress in one summer... you will have a  complete community built be the end of next year at this pace....

I've been watching how your camp is coming along, great job! I can certainly understand your excitement with the place. We have slowly renovated our old hunt camp to something that's more suitable to us, getting so much nicer every year. Get such a sense of satisfaction when another job gets done....also, so nice to see the kids helping out. I've also been watching Puckster Guy's camp, so much fun to see improvements :). Keep the pictures coming...

WTG Bro, wonderful to see all the progress made. I loved those pics. Great construction. I had contractors build mine. I don't think I'd have the skill to build even that. Love the design. How far are you from Hwy 63? Wanna stop by on my way in or out one day.
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

Thanks everyone!
We had a lot of fun so far....and each lost about 5lbs from all the hauling!
Next weekend we throw in the woodstove, looking forward to having heat, even if we're not fully insulated yet!

Windows are in!
With windows in and a good majority of the camp insulated we finally got to the point where we had to open one of the windows due to being overheated LOL
This is fine, it means we might stand a chance at -40….
We changed the website format slightly, the link below now leads you to the most recent trip only.
Previous trips are held in an archive area, this can be accessed by clicking the little folder link in the top right corner.

We've done a number of trips now but have been lazy updating the site.
We haven't done a lot of work other then a bit of electrical and added some framing for a small storage area above what will be the bathroom.
Hope everyone is having a great winter!

Thanks to everyone for all the words of encouragement and for letting us carve out a little spot on this board, we know we're not Kipawa per say......

Congrats! Now you get a chance to start more fully enjoying the fruits of your labour for years to come. Thanks for sharing this journey with us.
