Has anyone been stopped at the Quebec/Ontario border this year?  Are they still setting up the checkpoint there?  Just curious. Also, from my research, I'm seeing that size and number limits remain unchanged from last year?

When Mattie and I were up in late-May we heard they were checking at the docks and border; we left on a Tuesday and they weren't there at that time.

We have never been checked at the border.  We were however stopped for the 1st time on the water this year which I have no problem with.  That is why Quebec remains a better fishery than Ontario.

Absolutely!! Ontario is so backwards when it comes to natural resource management! I couldn't care if I got stopped every day. I've gone probably 10 years duck hunting without seeing a game warden!

The only time I hated it back in the day they would come check you right at sun up, birds just starting to work and here comes the CO. Sucked when you could only hunt on a Saturday and had no time in the week they would ruin the only
hunt you had all week.

I definitely have no complaints about them checking...I really think that is why the quality of fishing has improved over the years!

I have never been stopped at the border. I have been checked on the water and also at the government dock in Kipawa. Make sure you have all your paper work and safety equipment handy.
