Updated Posting Pics to Forum Thread

I just finished Updating the postings pics to forum thread, but as I was writing that, it dawned on me that I normally do this on the computer. Mine is Windows 7, nearly archaic I know, but it just happens to be what I prefer. I have tried Windows 10 and can get along with it, but windows 8 nearly fried my brain. LOL I don't know how many of you use a tablet or phone when accessing the forum. I access it with my phone but normally do the threads from the computer.

Hi Nancy,

About 18 months ago I somehow fried my version of Windows 7. The fix involved switching to Windows 10. I'm reasonably comfortable with Windows 10 now and that is the platform that I use to communicate with the internet.

Nancy, I use all three devices. Mostly I use a computer with window 10, then a lot of times I use my iPad. On rare occasions, I will check posts on my iPhone and even reply, but no where near as much as the computer and iPad.

The easiest device "Only my opinion" is the computer for doing any kind of accurate/quick word processing and being active on the forum. Second would be the iPad with a blue tooth key pad attached. There are time I will use my iPad/iPhone and the apple voice recognition to dictate a thread and then email it to myself, to correct its mistakes on my computer. I am a very slow/poor typist, child of the 60-70's. I used my first computer in 1996 and still learning

@Oarin, If you are using Imgur, yes you will have to resize your pics. I use postimages.org most of the time. I took my Alaska pics this year with my phone, and I don't remember having to resize them. It may be different if you take them with a camera.  I just did a test using postimages and the older pic I used taken with my Nikon came across the right size without having to resize.

If you are trying to cut out a step, maybe you might want to consider using postimages.org. The only thing and I don't have anything to base it on is that I suspect Imgur might be a more long term site than postimages. Just a feeling that I have.
