I prefer dropping the anchor, tipping my red/white Nipissing jig with a leech, rest my rod on the seat, open a beer and wait for the action  :) ;)

Me too. More importantly....what brand of beer! Lol

preferably O.P. ( other peoples) and cold

Canadian Club/Tia Maria in the cabin  :-\  :)

I had never heard of "Tia Maria" I had to look it up. So Canadian whiskey, mixed with a coffee liqueur? Sounds good, do you drink it on ice I'm guessing?

 :) Hodgey:
You've given me an interesting recipe! Never tried em that way. Generally the CC is with ginger ale - the Tia Maria is with early & late coffees - but I'll give your recipe a try and let you know when I get back. We're leaving for Kipawa around noon - about a 4 hour drive - I'm feel like a 76 year old kid @ Christmas!!  ;D

Tia Maria is also good mixed with Milk on Ice.

Or Tia Maria and Vodka

Last evening I had a Crown Royal Limited Edition and ginger ale. The Crown Royal was bought at the duty free store at the Thousand Island crossing on our way home from Ogascannon last August. I even used "Canada Dry" ginger ale.

Greg

Crown and ginger ale is my favourite hard drink - beer also - I have been drinking Michelob ultra lately, but really not attached to any one beer - I prefer easy to drink, not a strong after taste, not bitter...

I seriously love how this thread has went from fishing and some great advise to what everyone's preferred drink is .I like your style. LOL I really hope the fishing will be as good as the drinks .

Ok my turn..lol

I am kind of a beer snob.
Born in UK so i enjoy many European brews mostly ales as they dont have the high carbonation.
Otherwise its local craft brews all the way.
Wellington Special Pale Ale, Barking Squirrel, and the Polish Tyskie Gronie are my usual choice brews lately.

All this beer talk is making me think we need to have a big forum get together someday. Obviously post covid era.

Enjoy your trip at Alwaki.

Cheers everyone

Eagle Rare Boubon, on the rocks. Guinness Stout.

During 15 years of business travel to Belgium, I developed a preference for Trappist beers. Although I retired in 1998, I can still purchase some of them here in Ottawa.
