Jay, Some amazing Belgian style beers are being brewed in Canada. Particularly beers from Unibroue. It is a brewery in Chambly, Quebec . They brew in the Trappist style, I think I read once the brewery was owned by Belgians. My favorite is a blonde called La fin du Monde. I buy it at the IGA in Temiscaming.

Here is an article that you Americans might find interesting when coming to Canada. My favorite sipping whiskey is the Gooderham and Worts. Enjoy. https://www.whiskyadvocate.com/whiskies-when-visting-canada/

Try an Electric Canadian - Crown Royal / Kahlua and a splash of milk - fantastic after a hard day of fishing  8)

Hi Hodgey1,

Thank you for the reference. I had not yet tried that beer. So out to the Beer Store on Monday 24 Aug and picked up a case of 6 bottles. I very much enjoyed my first bottle. One of my favourite Trappist Beers that I can get in Canada is Chimay Blue Cap. Thanks again.

This has been a super frustrating year for those of us south of the border. Our July trip got wiped out, then our August trip, then our September trip. As a poor substitute I set up a Lake Erie walleye charter. Possible thunder storms on our date and it too may be a washout! This year can't end soon enough!. Those of you that can go PLEASE post reports.

I'll be out on Lake Erie tomorrow giving it a try.
On September 4, I head up to Kipawa for a week.

Sorry your not having any luck with your trips this year.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Good luck, RHYBAK, post a report!
