We are taking the boat up this weekend.
Hopfully able to make it to camp for a night, to get a start on opening, firing up the solar etc.
Right now the water level is low.
But looks to be rising fast.

That's great news.  I was asked to fill in at work this Saturday morning so I'm planning on going up after work and opening things up, fire up solar and fill water if the ice is off all the way to Hunters.

Hey oz!
You should be good as far as the ice goes.
I need to see the lake levels come up a bit more so i can actually tie up the boat.lol.
Bit cold to be dropping anchor and wading in.

Sorry folks.
Got a little behind.
We were up last weekend for a day to do a quick open.
The water was as low as i have ever seen it.
Had to anchor the boat in front of our dock and walk in thru shallow water as we had no water at our dock.
Thankfully there was little wind overnight.
The moose pic came thru just before we left home for camp!Spypoint_20250506_093328.jpgSpypoint_20250505_053332.jpgSpypoint_20250506_093004.jpg

Nice pic of moose!

Water is almost at summer levels here at my camp on Temiscaming

They will be putting logs in the dam on the Kipawa River

That should bring your water up.

We made it to camp last weekend and yes water levels are crazy low.  I had to launch the boat at the Gov't launch this trip.  Camp was in good shape just have to deal with a big balsam with the roots pulling out of the ground and leaning toward my shed.  Only other issue with water being so low was a real pain pumping water into my tanks.  For anyone travelling up the 533 be careful of the pot holes, pretty rough in sections.  Hope everyone has a great and safe summer.

Yup, i agree fully
We had quite a time getting water for our tank as well, and the government dock was the only one we saw with enough water to even get the boat in. Was not the easiest trying to get in, we had to tie a floater close to the ramp as the main docks were too low to jump down/up to.
Heard a boat horn on Sat, we wondered if it was Oz or Wayne..
I am up this weekend for a 2 week stint and had to look twoce at the weather forecast...-4 on Sat night..+32 on tuesday! Hope there will be enough water to actually park at the dock this time.

The scrawny moose was back ay camp this morning.
Cheers everyone!
