After missing my trip last year, I am finally heading back to Kipawa for a quick 5-day, 4 night stay at Alwaki lodge.  I am leaving from Ottawa early on Saturday morning and returning next Wednesday morning... and I am looking forward to it.

Anybody going to be in the area?  I've decided to get some solitude and relaxation, so I am heading up alone (first time I have ever an 'alone' trip).

I've heard the fishing has been good this year due to the lower water temperature (still at 70 degrees) - any quick advice?

Have a great trip...just got back on August 2 and I'm already missing it!  We weren't fishing on Kipawa, but we seemed to have the best luck jigging and trolling with Hot 'n Tots for walleye...Hot 'n Tots and spoons for pike.
Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

Greg, having never fished Kipawa the only advice I can offer is NEVER ARGUE WITH ANYONE ALONG WITH YOU-----you will win and loose all at the same time ;D ;D ;D ;D.  Good luck.

Smile, every one will wonder what you have been up to.

Good going Greg...it can't be easy being away from that place for over a year...

Enjoy your stay, and when you get bored, hit that spot we were always fishing at...you know, the spot you got that picture of us (one of my favorites) where there are 52,345 walleyes sitting on it at any given time.  ;)

Safe travels...enjoy the solitude...and of course, a fair load of Bleues...  ;D
Embrace every moment...you only get it once

Ahhh yes, "G's-Schoal" - will definately try to hit that on a calm night or early one morning... the forecast looks amazing for the next 5 days - darn hot and muggy.

Hope you are well.

Good for you Grdg. I go alone often to my camp. Those are often the best weekends. Just the peace and quiet is awesome and worth it
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)
