Hi Brad, I've used the 2nd method many times and it does work great. I know a lot of people don't like pike, but I find them TASTY.

I agree Oarin, and I tried the second method this past year for the first time, and it will be the way to go from here on out.

I'm with #2 but I might give #1 a try this year

I've only done the first method, but I'll have to give the second method a try this year.
I have found Pike to be very tasty.

Pike is great and also handy when you have guests over after the trip.  Once fried, the non-fishermen can't tell the difference from Walleye letting you keep that in your freezer...  ;)

I've always liked Pike and have only used the first method.  I will defintiely try the second method for fish we are eating in camp.  The first method, I think, is necessary if you are transporting back to the U.S.
