Temiscaming Grocery Store

Does anyone know if the new grocery store in Temiscaming is up and running ? How is it ?

I thought it was supposed to be open by now. When I drove by the site a week ago. there was no sign of construction or any activity. MMmmmm. Where's sweetmarie? Any news?

when I was there in the spring I was told that they started digging or drilling test holes on the site and found that the grounds wasn't stable enough for the store.

I'll buy that...any other plans here or are the good folks in Temiscaming and us by extension screwed for another season?

When Capt. Guy and I were there in late August the wall and roof were up and they were working inside.

I guess the only update I could give you is that the structure is up. The road coming off hwy 101 to the store is partly done. I was thinking of posting a couple of pictures but not sure if anyone would be interested. There's still no opening date other than late fall and certainly before Xmas. There's lots of activity going on, that's for sure.
I doubt I will migrate over to the other site, don't have time to monitor anymore sites as it is, lol.

Well maybe I have time for one more site, lol.  Here's a few pics I took this morning.  The top and middle pic are from the entrance to the store off hwy 101, just coming up to the 4 four corner intersection at the Auberge Canadienne, you can almost see the intersection at the end.
The bottom pic is from the south entrance, which could be considered the residential entrance.

Thanks very much for posting those pics of the new grocery store. No doubt Témiscaming residents are pleased with this outcome. An opening before Christmas would be a great Christmas gift for the whole town.
