The Coca Cola Hammer Crew will be making our annual spring trip from Hamilton to meet up with Reg from 3 Seasons at the Toronto Sportmans Show on Saturday . The countdown is on .18 weeks and counting till the Spring Classic Invitational fishing trip . This will be our 16th year at 3 Seasons .

YAH!! The first reference of the year of "The Coca Cola Boys from The Hammer!". Love it...

Under the 120 mark...starting to do the mental inventory checklist. Currently not in stock...DEET juice and bug suit. Never needed them in late-July...I recall early June being a different story.  :(

Talk is circling within the group about an alternative venue next year up into central Ontario...Chapleau Preserve area. All I'm trying to do is figure out when my trip to Kipawa will occur....before or after that trip.  ;D
Embrace every moment...you only get it once

hey T-Bone...I was at camp for the first two weeks of June as they were starting to build my cottage. The blackflies were vicious! I was fine in the boat or inside but unless there was a good breeze you couldn't hang outside for long. However the fishing was good. Have a great trip
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

T-Bone -Our group ,for the past 10 years has been hitting 3 Seasons the 3rd week of June .Yes the bugs are bad but nothing a can of good bug spray and a bug jacket cant cover . Fishing has always been good .For us the bugs are jsut part of the week

I went to the show on Thursday afternoon to meet up with Reggie before taking off to Harrisburg PA for the weekend.  I hate to say it but I am wondering what the point is for this show anymore.  The number of vendors has brought this show down to just over a single hall and I was able to walk by every display, chat with several vendors and be out in under 3 hours.  With the high parking and entrance fees I don't see the point in this show anymore.  The boat show was just a few weeks ago and this coming weekend is the fishing show (free parking) which looks like it has much more to offer.  Personally I feel like I wasted the gas, parking and admission I paid to get to the show so next year I'll simply mail my check to Reggie.

I cant diagree Mcsteve .Reg said show was down 32 vendors from last year .It used to be 3 buildings and now is down to one .

It's a real shame to because this was the show to start the season at one time.  When it was held during March break, I would have family come in from up north and we would make an event of going to the show.  Usually about 10 of us including the older kids.  Now it's just me.

SAME HERE.
IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN THREE HOURS.
Who needs a massage chair or boot polish?
There were more smoked meat booths than there were fishing booths.
What a let down.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

The owner camp where I go decided not to attend the show this year.  The fees are very high and it seemed better to use the money to buy a few more new 4cyl boat motors and make some other improvements.  I didn't go as well since it is the same stuff every year.

Sounds as if Toronto is going the same direction as the Pittsburgh show went. Last couple times I went it was purely a social/get out of the house event. Never much new. Kirk, I imagine that you are like me and endorse Norms priorities with the new motors. While I don't know how much it costs to rent booth space I imagine it is getting more expensive all the time . Could be the sport shows are  becoming just another internet casualty. Sam
