Just a "quickie" report and some pictures. I went off to camp on thursday morning. I was supposed to come home on sunday but decided to stay till monday. (sry boss hehehe) I spent the weekend alone. Weather was magnificent all weekend. Highs in the upper sixties, lows in the forties and mostly solid sunshine. The good news is the ice is off the lake and all roads are snow free as is the bush as well.

I spent the weekend cleaning up, moving rocks and taking apart an old birch that's been lying on it's side for a couple of years lots of good dry wood for camp fires with more waiting to be cut up. I have several trees like that waiting to be cut up. One of my best investments for the place was a quality Stihl chainsaw, what a workhorse!

A couple of Irish friends were by. I have a soft spot for the Irish. My ex was born and raised in Dublin, been there twice. an unforgetable place well worth a visit. My kids are Italian/Irish mutts lol

Nice!!    Thanks for the pictures to scratch my itch (or make it worse).

Poor Mr. Jamison, looks like he didn't make it.  You'll have to see if you can find one of his brothers and restock.

probably the following weekend. the lake was too low to launch my boat and dock. so that'll go in next time I'm there probably the weekend after this one. This was well worth the time off. The Jameson's went down without a struggle and the tullemore dew was next. Both delicious brews. We need more friends like that lol. all in all a great weekend away from life in general.....great stress relief.

600 miles north

I'm jealous PG, the only thing missing was a pic of you jumping in the lake! The place is looking great! It will be enjoyed for years to come, congratulations!

I wish I knew. It showed up last year at one of the camps on the way into mine. I'm guessing buddy probably works there or it's an inside joke. I'll find out this summer and let you know. Tho ya never know where you'd find one of those restaurants. Hopefully the filet'o fish is fresh walleye there lol :)
