Hi guys. I spent from friday to wed at camp. I got some work done, did some fishing, cut some fire wood and generally just loafed around. Grateful to be away from the din of work and city life. The lake level is down almost two feet. and sitting at 60 degrees F. The walleye were nowhere to be found. trolling or jigging. Got 3 nice pike while trolling but even they were relatively scarce. Oh well the beer and wisers saved the day lol. The colors were just starting to get bright probably peaking this (thanksgiving) weekend. here's some pictures from the trip. Including one of my "new" Jeep. I could have sworn I'd never buy another one after that mess I had with my Liberty diesel blowing up on me but what the heck The 2000 Jeep grand cherokee was cheap and in excellent condition for its age. just need a vehicle for a couple of years till just before I retire. Then I'm buying a new truck.

amazing rocks the way they were split like that.

Thanks for the update, heading up Thursday with a gang to close up for winter.

I was there last weekend.  The water has dropped for the Lake Trout to spawn this year.

thx Jay it made maniwaki rd.  feel like a paved road at 90 kph Feels like a solid truck 4.7l V8.....I hope it lasts, it should. I hope to keep going up till the snow flies. Gonna put the old boat on a trailer next weekend. Take home anything that'll freeze.

Great Pics Joe! Thanks, as always, for taking the time to share them....
Good luck with the jeep!
My brother and I were up at his camp again getting everything set for winter.
The colors are out nicely and it was nice to see compared to the contrast of heat and palm trees from my recent trip to Brazil (too hot for my taste).
I'll take the north and Kipawa instead, any day....

I agree you can't do better then Kipawa. Heading up this weekend to get some fishing in and put the boat on the trailer and get the place ready for winter. Gonna keep going up till the snow flies, and sticks. Pictures at 11.

Some more fall colours...I was up at camp last weekend. I did all the usual "get the camp ready for winter" chores. The weather was cold with highs on sat +4 and Sunday -2. I woke up on Saturday to an inch or so of snow. It was gone my afternoon. A couple of hours trolling and jigging on sat and sun produced 1 pike for the weekend. You haven't lived till you've trolled in sub zero weather. lol The beer always stays cold. Ya gotta love it!! Water temps were around 62 and still down about 2 feet. I gotta renew my hunting license next year I saw around 6 grouse kicking around the roads around camp. I haven't fired my shotgun on over 10 yrs. Time to clean it. Just tossing out a few more pics here Fall colours were just past peak and just falling off the trees.
