A neighbour stopped at the end of my lane way today to say hello. We were both commenting on the lack of snow (none) and the almost balmy 11 degrees C (52 degrees F). I had just finished washing my truck (10 Dec is a new date record for me for washing it outdoors) and the only thing white around was the accumulated soap suds at the end of my lane way. The weatherman is predicting that there's a good possibility for a green Christmas.

I am not about to complain about the weather we have been having here in Ohio. Sunday is supposed to be nearly 70 with some sun. Winter will surely catch up with us before we know it, the only problem I can think of is telling our youngest how santa's sleigh and the reindeer get around without the snow! lol

A trip up north for Christmas would be a new experience... with the boat!

Cheers!

It's well worth a trip Brad. it was cold, around freezing. Nobody around, neighbours or on the lake. Zero snow on the ground. Lake level was almost at summer levels. Did a couple of chores and built a great camp fire sat. night. It's well worth a trip. Kinda quiet without loons on the lake, I guess they're smart enuff to go down south for winter. A nice weekend away. If I go up again (just might) I gotta bring some wood for the stove, had just enuff for the weekend....

Joe, sounds like a great trip.
Winter was always my favorite time of the year up there (mind you I don't know if we can call the current weather situation "winter").....always so quiet and peaceful.
The last year we had a place on Kipawa we went up for a "Kids Christmas", put some lights on the camp and cut a little "charlie brown tree".
Was a great time!

How cool wisers. I have a week off between Christmas and New Years. If the weather holds up I may yet go up for a few days. Getthe net...I didn't wet a line last weekend. With precious little daylight I was busy building and staining some screen inserts for the front porch.

Good to hear you enjoyed your time on the lake PG! I hope you are able to make the trip after Christmas, I usually get pics around our camp over the holidays and they are usually out on the ice. Strange to see the area still wet, and not frozen. Thanks for the update!

@puckster_guy awesome pics, thanks for sharing!
The frames look great, I'm sure your itching to get them up before next spring!

It'll be nice to have a screened in porch to keep the bugs out, especially in June.

This weather keeps up ,you'll have it done in a few weeks.

This weather is so stupid, my garlic is almost 4 inches out of the ground already.

LOL, I noticed this morning, the front section of our lawn could use a trim?!?!
Also noticed over the last week or so, the geese are totally messed up!
Heading one way one morning and another the next!

Hey Puckster Guy! Glad you got out there. Wish we could take a trip up. I feel your excitement with the screened in porch. Mine is almost done too, just need the screen. I can't wait :)
