Dev

We spent 25 May - 2 June at our cabin. Fished Hunter Lake, Grindstone, Edwards.
Walleye catching was OK - had to put in some hours, but caught enough walleye to eat when we needed fish.
Released lots of fish around 12-13".
Fish took both leeches and worms - mostly jigging on a small [ #6-#8 ] bare hook with 4# line.
Caught a few trolling in deep water using the Cabelas Deep Wally Diver - white color is the best.
Water is high - full summer level.
Water temp[ surface ]  was 58F when we arrived, went up to 68F in a few days, then back to 58F with the cool down.
Didn't use the temp probe.
Mosquitos and black flies were pretty bad, but it seemed like they were not actually biting as much as their numbers would have predicted -I returned home with no festering sores or sucking chest wounds per the usual spring trip.
Weather was great - lots of sun and cool nights.
BTW - it appears that the rare earth metals mining project is stalled and may not happen. Good news.
Cheers - Dev
