Smitty, I'm a trolling dumby My plan is to add downriggers, so the majority use would be with them. My hope would be that they would serve dual purpose, trolling for trout in Kipawa and also Trolling for Walleye and trout occasionally in lake Erie, all from a D-Rigger. Lima C suggested a pole, but it is discontinued. So pole power, weight and length are what I'm not certain on. My guess is something longer for downrigger use, so 8'-9" and guessing medium to med heavy action?

hodgey, that set-up will work nicely for walleye on Erie and probably for lakers on both. the 8'6"medium action will be fun on some of those bigger Erie lakers.
