Try this link. You have to shrink down and move to Kipawa.

Thanks again everyone for the help. The above link posted by Canuckbass was a real asset. With using Microsoft snip tool, I was able to make one nice map 24"x36", with pretty darn good resolution.

I live on my Navionics App on my phone. Fishing many different bodies of water and seasonal patterns it’s great to have knowledge of a lake before even showing up.
Or for Kipawa, if you’re catching in an area and depth you can try another spot very similar and have great results.

If I paid for the Navionics App for my IPad, would it work as a chart plotter? Also, will it work without cell service?

Doesn't work without cell service I don't believe. Did you get Navionics or mapping on your sonar?

The boat came with a Newer Garmin Striker 7sv which does not have chart plotter.

Good unit.
Adding GPS and mapping will change your fishing. Garmin owns Navionics now so in the next year or two they'll be the best mapping units.

I sent a email to Navionics, asking about operations without cell service, I'll report back when I hear. I use a navigation app on my phone for motorcycling. It does not need cell service, as long as the state background maps have been loaded on your device.

For anyone interested in a chart plotter work around, Navionics replied to my email and said as long as the map of the lake has been downloaded ahead of time, that cell service is not needed.

Canuckbass’s suggestion may save me a pile of money. I was contemplating buying a new Garmin with background maps of lakes. If all goes as Navionics support suggests, I will purchase the app for my iPad “$54 usd” and buy a mount for it and use as my chart plotter.

I will keep everyone posted with my results.

Trust me... having a unit on boat is so much better then running iPad. Make sure you have a port to plug into as battery goes fast. Also any water can damage iPad, there is no waterproof covers for rain and dampness.
Navionics is bang on within a foot or two, can always do exact same line or stay directly on a marked spot.
The chip for Kipawa is extra but certainly worth it in my opinion.

Since I have the 3 year old Garmin that came with the boat, I cringe thinking of buying another unit.  I see this as a possible option, I have a 12v port on the dash so I can power the Ipad. I might spring for a good waterproof case for it, if it works as it is supposed.
