I love Fish USA.  They have great prices and service. I get more order delivered in two to 3 days

If you are ever in the area of Erie Pa "Fairview", stop in their shop, its really nice with a huge selection of fishing gear. I was there yesterday for over an hour buying two new reel/pole combo's, line, lures and releases. The staff are top rate and all experienced fisherpeople. Also, being in a rural-ish, industrial setting, very easy to get to and park. Maybe a 10-15 minute detour off of Interstate 90, Fairview Exit.

Please, do tell, what you set-up on? Had to replace that Fenwick, eh?  ::)

That is good to hear.  I live about an 1.5 hr away and was wondering if it was worth the trip. Now I know

Ahhhh  ;) Nope, Replaced the broken Fenwick last year.

I mounted a couple of downriggers on my boat last fall. So yesterday was New downrigger gear day. I picked up two Okuma Greatlakes Pole/reel combos, medium action, 8’ 3” two piece. Nothing to pricey, I’m trying to go entery level, to get my feet wet. I Also bought a dozen or so laker spoons, a couple line releases, spool of line and swivels. I wanted to grab a couple of cannonballs, but none in stock. Had I hit the 400 million loto the other day, I would have bought a water temp transmitter and a chart plotter  :o

I’m planning on spending a few mid days, doing a little trolling for lakers while at Kipawa this year.

I'm sure you'll have a willing mate in Chad. I don't fish for lakers, but I know a few lines you can scope out...some close to Alwaki...some not so close...but in you're boat you'll be there in no time...

Chads fired up, as well as the rest of the crew. Weather here continues to be horrible, the only thing keeping me from jumping off a cliff are thoughts of Kipawa.

Forum member "Smitty55 " "another member going out of their way to be helpful!" has made some awesome maps for me, with many suggested trolling routes.  I'm not planning on becoming the next Babe Winkleman of Lakers, but thought it will be fun to give it a try. Maybe even sleep in a couple of mornings  ??? and skip the early walleye bite for some 10am trolls....... ;D  Please don't tell Uncle Dave  :)
