It appears from what we have been able to
read online that starting June 4th the forests
and Zecs in Quebec were closed due to forest fires.  Does
anyone have any info on this?

This could be a problem for our June 17 trip as we need to drive through Zec Kipawa.

RHYBAK

I heard this morning that entrance into all Zec's are closed.
The road at Laniel is closed.
Nobody can get into the camps such as Taggard Bay nor 3Seasons for now.
All provincial camp grounds ....closed

Check with John from 3Seasons regarding your trip.
At this time, he was not allowed past Laniel and he is at home in Guelph.
Your trip as well as my trip are on hold
Roads are close at Laniel

Was emailed today by owner of Sasseginaga that Wildlife Protection Ifficers are visiting the camps and letting the owners know its time to evacuate.

First plague, now fire, what?s next locusts or some other biblical curse. All I want to do is spend a week in Canada fishing with my dad?

Kill Switch

Air quality here in Southern Ontario is lousy. I live near Hamilton (Waterdown) and there is a heavy haze from the fires. Most kids sports have been cancelled.
Praying for some rain up north.
Lake Kipawa outfitters had already agreed to no camp fires a couple of weeks ago. Saturday is the only significant rainfall forecast for Laniel. Can't come soon enough.  :(

I hope you get that week with dad fishing . It?s been a rough few years, particularly for outfitters.

If anyone obtains some info it would be helpful if you could post it. With two and a half weeks before we make our trip to 3 seasons we're obviously searching for info. to see what happens and if we should start looking for a Plan B.   thank you

Chazz

Weather forecast looks promising as far as helping with the forest fires.  Rain hopefully starting Friday for straight days.  Fingers crossed.

Chazz

Oops Meant to say 7 straight days
