RHYBAK

One more ice fishing weekend( this weekend )
Hoping to get the boat by April 8.

All my stuff is in a neat pile in the basement, just waiting patiently to be loaded into the boat.

I know how you feel Rhybak.  I scheduled my accessory installation appointment (placement of electric motor, fish finders and rod holders) and then my delivery/pickup day for mid April and I have an appointment to get the new wiring harness installed on my truck next Thursday.

I also ordered a bunch of boat accessories and swag from the boat manufacturer web site - I'm trying the UPS store delivery thing in Ogdensburg, New York just across the boarder.

I am headed to Toronto to the Bowmanville fishing show on Sunday and possibly head to Bass pro shop after that show (depends on how the show is).

I've never been so anxious to hit the water.

The Marina has all my electronic toys to mount and my Bert's plates.

They don't want to work on and release the boats until the weather is warmer.
They don't want anything in the boat to freeze then be responsible for it.

I just want it in my driveway and start putting my crap into it.
I am really looking forward to getting it.

Three more weeks ( fingers crossed )

134 days until we make that trip again...seems like forever...

120 days for us... very anxious!

Canuckbass

If I added up correctly... 69 days and we fire up the island. I may go earlier to tow boat up and run stuff to island.
Great meeting ya Greg.

Greg

Great meeting you also Wayne... I did really well at the show, 2 nice Rods, 2 nice reels (total "new" value online is about $700 and I got everything for $210).  Lots of tackle and decent prices and 2 tshirts and 5 rod gloves.   We stopped by the Belleville sportsman show (boats, RV's, and even more fishing stores!) on the way back to Ottawa, and I picked up a few things there also - some pretty good deals there as well.

I wish I was going up to Kipawa for a long week-end in June, but I will have to wait until mid-July!  Hope to see you there.

Reserved my room at the Auberge for Friday June 16

Our group is finalized.
darn fishing shows are driving me crazy.
Ice is still lingering around up here.

Just when you think it's going to melt.... It gets cold again.

Next week I start to tie Roe Bags for my Rainbow Trout river fishing.

Come on open water.

Seriously? I'd rather give my money to charity and sleep on the ground. Or maybe there has been a total renovation of the place since I stayed there last....several years ago. Back then, they were more expensive than all other properties around and quite run-down. Appears they may have lowered their prices since then, so renovation is not likely. Then again...if memory serves me well...I believe I was put-off by the total lack of customer respect by the staff more  than the rooms not being a good value.

Rhybak...you're just a victim of habit. Just like me...always catching more than you...  ::)

125. Sheesh...seems like an eternity away...

T-Bone what would you recommend in lieu of the Au b e r g e ?  we stayed there last year ( our first) the free beer was good but the free breakfast never materialized since no one showed up to open up the restaurant.  Open to suggestions...Zig

The last time we stayed there they lost our reservation that we made in Jan.  No problem lots of empty rooms.  In the middle of the night they rented our room to someone else and gave him a key to it---------- we were in bed when he came in!  Time to change hotels!

Smile, every one will wonder what you have been up to.

We stayed at the Tem Rose Auberge and loved it. The down stairs one has two seperate bedrooms like in the picture. It was clean and the Tem Rose food is better!
